REGINA WINTERSTELLER – SKI GUIDE & ADVENTURE LOVER
Regina Wintersteller lives for the mountains – working as a ski guide in winter and a canyoning guide in summer. Her passion for action and nature shines through not only in her sports activities but also in her way of life. Her gym? A farm. Her favorite spot? Her horses' summer pasture.
As one of the first athletes at POP EYES, she’s known the brand from the very beginning and especially loves the JAMIE ski goggles because the interchangeable lenses always allow for the perfect setup. Her greatest athletic achievement: winning the Weiße Rausch 2024 – but for her, it’s all about the joy of movement.
Regina is direct, passionate, and uncompromising in everything she does. She’s already fulfilled her dreams – and savors every moment in the mountains.
Moments in motion.

How would you describe yourself in three words?
Wild, passionate, very direct
Which person or athlete inspires you the most?
Ester Ledecká
Do you have a life motto or a quote that guides you?
Nothing in life is ever so bad that it doesn’t end up being good for something.
How did you first hear about POP EYES?
I’ve been part of it more or less since day one. I found out about POP EYES through another outdoor brand that supports me, and I reached out to Gernot and Eva. We had a beer together – and I was in.
What’s your favorite product from our range and why?
That’s a tough one – I’m obsessed with all the goggles! How is a woman supposed to choose with that selection?
But if I had to pick one, it would probably be the JAMIE, because you can swap out the lenses in all kinds of colors and variations.
What makes POP EYES special to you?
What makes the brand so special is knowing who’s behind it. Two youthful parents who really inspire me, and together they’ve created a modern, young, bold brand with amazing style and great value for money – 100% spot on.
What are your favorite sports?
Skiing, mountain biking, hiking, canyoning, horseback riding
What has been your greatest sporting achievement or most memorable moment?
Winning the Weiße Rausch 2024.
What motivates you to keep going even on tough days?
I don’t really do active training – I’m not a gym girl. My job as a ski guide in winter and canyoning guide in summer brings enough physical activity to stay fit.
Also, I live on a farm – I call it my personal gym :)
What does a typical day look like for you?
8:00 – departure
8:30 – meet up with guests at the lift.
Depending on the booking – piste, powder, or ski touring – the tour lasts around five to six hours.
Between 14:00 and 16:00 the workday wraps up, then I head home to cook something, around 19:00 it’s off to the stable, and afterwards, I relax on the couch and plan the next day.
Do you have a ritual or habit you couldn’t live without?
I never leave the house or go to bed without a kiss from my boyfriend.
Do you have a hidden talent or special skill?
Other than being a really good skier, I wouldn’t say I have any special talents.
But I’m very handy and good with almost all kinds of tools and machines.
Are there any places or countries that have had a big impact on you, and why?
I’ve seen a lot of the world, but honestly, no place has shaped me as much as my home.
Do you have a favorite spot where you especially love being active?
My favorite place is our horses’ summer pasture – it’s the most beautiful spot I know and totally postcard-worthy.
What’s a dream you still want to fulfill?
All my dreams have come true – I’ve reached all my goals so far and feel completely content.
